Antoinette Strydom

PESP4 Coordinator - North West/Northern Cape

Antoinette Strydom (b.1997) is a multidisciplinary artist who received her BA Fine Arts degree at the University of the Free State in 2020 specializing in ceramics and sculpture. She is a practicing fine artist with keen interest in curatorship and art handling. In 2020/2021 she participated in the ArtbankSA Presidential Employment Stimulus Programme “Banking  with Art – Connecting Lives” and became one of the curators for the “HOME” exhibition (2021) at Oliewenhuis Art Museum. Antoinette was the Admin Intern at the Art Bank of South-Africa being tasked with arts administration and project management, assisting on special projects and collaborations, and assisting in content creation for our media platform and will perform a variety of clerical tasks to help operations run efficiently. During her ArtBank SA internship she successfully curated This is Us: Celebrating 29 Years of Freedom that also formed part of the Free State Arts festival 2023. Antoinette takes pride in her work and share the sentiments of getting the work done properly.

Antoinette is currently pursuing her post grad in BSocSci (Hons) Heritage, Museum and preservation studies at the University of Pretoria.
