BIOGRAPHY OF FUMANI KHUMALO
Fumani Khumalo is a 25-year-old Johannesburg- based artist who places creativity at the heart of everything he does. Fumani started his journey with graffiti art on walls of eager homeowners in his home township, Soshanguve. Looking to hone his talent, he explored several forms of art including illustration, art direction and most recently, fine arts. Fumani’s art is inspired by language, and the ways in which it shapes the experiences of the world we live in how we use language to express thoughts, feelings, and ideas; how we use language to create. He spends his time analysing and unraveling the inventions of our everyday dialogue, and expresses it in his art. Using his profits from art auctions, he funds the subjects of his artworks, helping to broaden their worldly views and experiences. It is his humility, wealth of knowledge and experience, that have moulded him into the dexterous artist he is today.
