BIOGRAPHY OF ALET PRETORIUS
Alet Pretorius is a photojournalist, and this artwork portrays the moments between stories about other people and her life events. The photos are neither photojournalism nor fiction. The work provokes questions but does not try to provide answers. Alet Pretorius is a freelance photographer, artist and part-time lecturer at Market Photo Workshop and Boston Media House. She has more than 13 years of photojournalism experience that included a position of Picture Editor at the daily newspaper, Beeld. Her photographs have been published in newspapers, magazines, books, and online publications. She has won several awards for her work and has exhibited at various galleries and other venues.
