BIOGRAPHY OF VIVIEN KOHLER
Vivien Kohler has exhibited in art fairs and group shows across South Africa and internationally. These include; Is There Still Life curated by Prof. Michael Godby, OFF Africa (2014) and Trop Comprendre at Sulger-Buel Lovell (curated by Andrew Lamprecht in 2017). He has produced three solo shows in South Africa; Given to Fly (2012), De(re)tritus (2014), and R3:FORM4RE (2019) at Gallery MOMO. Kohler’s other exhibitions are Clay Opera in 2017, at Sulger-Buel Lovell and At the Still Point of the Turning World in 2018, curated by Andrew Lamprecht. In 2012 he received the ItWeb / Brainstorm Competition award for his entry that was commissioned by Vodacom. Kohler was the winner of the 2013 Lovell Lovell Gallery artist competition and the 2017 Thami Mnyele Best Sculpture award. His work is part of both private and public art collections such the Nando’s Collection, the Hollard Collection, SAB and Fusion UK
