Kenneth Shandu is a South African contemporary artist working with a range of materials to make drawings, prints, sculptures and installations. His body of work addresses issues of economically marginalised people, inspired by their everyday experiences in post-apartheid South Africa. Shandu was the winner of 2020 KZNSA Members’ Exhibition, was awarded the 2018 Emma Smith Scholarship at the Durban University of Technology and received a recommendation in the 2019 PPC Imaginarium Art & Design Competition. Shandu was selected as a finalist in Sasol New Signatures 2018, and was one of the top 2018 Fine Art graduates at the Durban University of Technology.
