BIOGRAPHY OF Happy Dhlame
Happy Dhlame is a painter and installation artist born in Johannesburg (Soweto). In 2002 he spent time in Europe (Switzerland) for his achievement of receiving the Hansjorg Wyss Scholarship and in 2004 he received the Erasmus Scholarship of the European Council of Arts in France. Furthermore, Dhlame received in 2013 the Rendezvous Award at the University of Johannesburg, an artist residency in France.
In 2000 Dhlame obtained a National Diploma in Fine Arts at Funda Community College. He furthered his studies in 2005 by enrolling for a three-year programme at Ecole Cantonale D` art du Valais (Switzerland), where he obtained a BA in Fine Arts.
Dhlame participated in various International Group Exhibitions and workshops.
